2008 Design Trends
REALTOR magazine recently featured a few of the interior and exterior trends for 2008. Here are a few suggestions if you are stuck for new design ideas:
Reduced Carbon Footprint--saving energy and money is not only trendy, but smart!
Outdoor Living--Cozy stone fireplaces, outdoor kitchens and built-in grills are all ways to take the inside out and enjoy the outdoors.
Fully Concealed Appliances--instead of just wood panels, many appliances are behind hinged doors.
Home Elevators--not just for high-end homes anymore.
Pet Showers--made part of a garage or mudroom, keeps dirty pets from making a dirty house.
Freestanding Bathtubs--homeowners are leaning more towards soaking tubs rather than whirlpool tubs.
Bathroom Suites--complete with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges and coffee makers.
