Coming Saturday May 16th--Zionsville's Country Market

One of my favorite events of the year is just around the corner. On Saturday, May 16th Zionsville plays the host to the Country Market, a wonderful crafts and arts marketplace, featuring more than 110 artisans from around the country. This year I plan to take photos of the Market and will post them here, so check back for a closer look. The Country Market takes place on the brick Main Street in the beautiful downtown of Zionsville. The street is lined with antiques stores, restaurants, and specialty stores, but during the Market, the artisans take center stage. The attraction lies in the variety of products available from garden sculptures, antiques, and handmade clothing to oil paintings, pottery and jewelry. There are offerings for the sweet tooth including strawberries and cream (a la Wimbledon) and kettle corn (a sweet popcorn) prepared on site. Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms and soon -to- be moms. How wonderful it is to have a special day to honor our moms and to recognise the important place they hold in our lives. My daughters woke me up to a breakfast in bed. The only problem was that they let me sleep, and the breakfast was waiting. I enjoyed a soggy bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats, some very sugary cinnamon toast and oj. It was delicious because of the small hands that prepared the meal.
