Let's Talk About the Weather
I recently exchanged emails with a friend who is moving to California. He is elated to be away from the unpredictability of Indiana's weather. He is moving to San Francisco where he can expect the expected. Me? I choose the surprises of the Midwest with the full spectrum of skies: warm summers, rainy springs, the glory of fall, and the hush of winter. I remember the words of my favorite sky weather reporter Big John Gillis. After a heavy rain, he said the earth looked fresh-scrubbed. Everything glistened. There is a rest to that, a sense of renewal. A new start. What is the weather in your part of the world? Photo courtesy of Flickr--Tapio Hurme
