The Indianapolis MSA (Metropolitan Statistics Area) has been listed among the "top 50 hottest cities in the nation," by Expansion Management, a leading international business magazine and company that helps other companies evaluate future locations for business. The annual list is complied through the results of a survey sent to site consultants and industry experts throughout the country. The Indianapolis MSA was featured on the list in the February 2007 edition of the publication. “This consistent recognition by Expansion Management Magazine is a clear indication that people are taking notice of Indianapolis’ low cost of doing business, quality workforce and strong economy,” Mayor Peterson said. “Our goal now is to build on this momentum and continue positioning Indianapolis as the Midwestern leader in new jobs and economic growth.” Indianapolis was one of 7 Midwest MSA’s featured on the list. Previously, Indianapolis had ranked as high as the fourth ‘hottest city’ in the nation. A copy of the list is available at: www.expansionmanagement.com.
