Zionsville's Fall Festival Celebrates Heroes
One of our favorite events of the year is this weekend. Zionsville's Fall Festival celebrates Heroes because the date for the festival falls on September 11th. The Festival features an old fashioned parade where bystanders are treated to a plethora of bands, floats, cheerleaders and candy thrown by paraders. The parade has that small town feel where neighbors call out greetings to one another across the brick Main Street. Politicians walk the parade route smiling and shaking hands. The parade begins at 10:45 on Saturday. Bring a blanket or folding chairs and save your spot early. Little ones should bring a bag for collecting their candy.
The colorful carnival offers rides and fair food--yes elephant ears and lemon shakeups are yours for the taking. The festival kicks off Friday afternoon and runs through Sunday. Admission is free.
