A look at...Indianapolis Cultural Districts--Wholesale District

In the next several blog posts, we'll take a closer look at the Cultural Districts of Indianapolis.

First up...The Wholesale District

The Wholesale District is bordered on the north by the Monument and the south by South Street. The Indiana Convention Center makes up the west border and Conseco Fieldhouse the east. Located within the Wholesale District are attractions like Circle Centre mall, the RCA Dome (and soon, Lucas Oil Stadium), the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Indiana Repertory Theatre. Excellent restaurants abound here as well, including Oceanaire Seafood Room, Palamino, St. Elmo's Steak House, Weber Grill Restaurant, and Capital Grille in the Conrad Hotel. With so much to see and do, you'll want to extend your stay overnight. And, there are plenty of first-rate places to stay: The Canterbury Hotel, Conrad Indianapolis, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Hyatt Regency, The Westin and Omni Severin.
