According to the National Association of REALTORS, approximately 22% of single woman and 9% of single men own a home. Sperling's Best Places (www.sperlingsbestplaces.com) found the top 10 cities where singles tend to live and the percentage of single people in that city:

1. San Franciso 44.7%
2. Detroit 44%
3. New York 39.8%
4. Boston 39.2%
5. New Orleans 39.1%
6. Los Angeles 37.7%
7. Fort Lauderdale 37.2%
8. Las Vegas 37%
9. Miami 36.9%
10. Albuquerque 36.8%
