I've run across this great resource if you or someone you know is moving--www.protectyourmove.gov is a website run by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. It features a moving checklist, tips on spotting "rogue" movers and resources to check a moving company's registration with the U.S. Department of Transportation. It also has lists of movers by state and resources for state moving associations.
