The time is almost here! The crowds are practicing the famous "Move that Bus" chant as they wait for the McFarland family to arrive. Here are some photos of their new home as seen last night. The other shot shows the library that was a surprise for the deserving family. The show featuring Indy is scheduled now to air May 17th.

Latest News on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition from Estridge--the Builder Neighborhood Change made Personal. The excitement of the week continues to build, as we near the hour we hand over the keys to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Thursday, the construction site began to look more like a new home for the McFarland family and Pack House 2000. With the completion of the building exteriors, the large equipment and most building supplies were moved elsewhere to make room for the landscaping to begin. Walkways were created, pavers were laid, the basketball court was completed - and that was only the exterior work! Inside the home, everything from fixtures and finishes to touch and cleaning were completing. At the end of the day, the hard work of Estridge and the thousands of volunteers led us to be almost 90% complete with the home and well on our way to handing the keys to Extreme Makeover. Wow!! What an experience. The people--workers buzzing around the house like bees around a hive. Roofers working in unison--30 men from different teams & companies working in perfect synchronicity at breathtaking speed. Proud neighbors parading through the work site --happy to be a part of the grand plan for their community. Volunteers happy to do whatever they were asked to do--planting 1400 trees, painting neighboring homes, building a ramp for a wheel chair, re-siding a church, cleaning alleys, and removing peeling paint from neighboring homes. I was so thrilled to volunteer at Extreme Makeover Home Edition that I could barely sleep the night before my shift. I kept waking every 30 minutes. Finally at 5:00 am the time had come to get dressed for the big day. My friend Susan and I arrived before the sun had come up. We checked in and signed 7 different release forms then were trained on our job. We considered ourselves fortunate to be assigned to the VIP check in and VIP tent. The
